Here are the first 5 Topics for our blog writing contest.

Always check this entry to see the STATUS of this topics batch. The contest will release topics in batches.

If a topic has CLOSED, it means we have received enough entries on that topic and are not taking anymore entries. All subsequent entries for a closed topic will not qualify.

How to read the topic: Each topic is separated into a number of differing questions, you can choose to write on all questions or just one question or on a few questions per topic. Regardless of how many questions you focus on, your entry will only be counted ONCE. One entry per topic.

Topic One:

Topic Two:

Which city in the world would you like to travel to? What is the history of that city? Why would people want to visit your favority city? How can people visit your favorite city on a budget?

Topic Three:

How do I save money? How do I save when I have lost my job? How can I make my savings stretch when times are hard?

Topic Four:

How do I avoid getting into credit card debt? What do I do if I have more credit card debt than income or savings? What is a credit card consolidator? How do debt consolidations work?

Topic Five:

How do I meet someone online? What online dating tips can you give? How do I find the right person online? What are the tips and tricks and danger signs in online dating?

CONTEST RULES

Who can join?

ANYONE can join as long as you are over 18 years old, are located in the Philippines, and can receive payments from any of the following sources: Paypal (you have a paypal account or know someone who we can pay via Paypal who will then turn over the funds to you), Bank account (you get paid via direct bank deposit), or LBC (we pay your contest winning via LBC but deduct any payment fees that LBC may charge)

How much can I win?

If your entry is selected as a winner, you get paid P500.

How many times can I win? / How many times can I enter the contest?

You can send as many entries as you want BUT you can only send one entry per contest topic.

Example: if there are 5 topics posted, you can enter as much as 5 times--1 entry per topic.

The topics will be listed as OPEN or CLOSED. Do not send any entries to topics that are marked CLOSED--the entries will not qualify since someone has already been chosen as the WINNER for the CLOSED topic.

We will send group email notifications of closed topics so you don't make the mistake of sending entries after the cutoff time/closing time for the topic.

No worries! We will post a LOT of topics.

How do I know if I won?

This blog will list the topics and will include a WINNER notification beside each topic.

Will my name be mentioned if I won?

You bet! Your name will be posted next to the topic you won. We will request a picture. Preferably of you holding the money you just won!

How do I enter the contest?

Follow these steps closely. You will need to comply with each step in order to qualify

Step 1: You must be a member of our contest notification mailing list. No exceptions.

To join the mailing list, just send an empty email to:

WARNING: No entry from non-members will qualify for the contest. However, by submitting entries, the entries still become our property (see below).

Step 2: Read the open topics lists listed in this blog. Select a topic you're interested in and
write an answer/opinion/commentary about the topic.

Each article/Blog entry must be at least 300 words in length.

You can use the second person "you"

The article must be HELPFUL and USEFUL. To get an idea of the writing style that works best for this contest, try reading the articles at Ehow.Com

Write naturally and express yourself. Be positive and helpful.

Step 3: Check to see what you wrote is Original. We do not tolerate PLAGIARIZED materials. Your entry must be 100% original. Go to ArticleChecker.Com and paste in the text for your entry. If there's a positive result, rewrite your entry until it is 100% original.

Step 4: Go to your favorite Pinoy forum and post the following:

Body: Write a short blog entry and get a chance to win P500 per blog entry. Details are at:

Step 5: Email the URL of the forum post you made for Step 4 above along with your contest

NOTE: 1 new URL is needed for every entry you send. If you are making 5 entries, then you need to make 5 new forum posts. WARNING: Use differing forums when posting so you don't get banned for spamming.

Step 6: Check your email periodically for Contest Winner announcements and notifications.

How do you judge which entry won?

Winning entries are selected based on:

Quality
Originality -- any entries containing plagiarised materials will be disqualified.
Useful -- the entries actually say something meaningful and useful.
Compliance with instructions -- only entries that have a unique forum URL will qualify

BONUS: Your chances of winning are increased if you send many entries.

How do I improve my chances of winning?

Send as many entries as you can. Remember to follow the rules above for all your entries.

What will happen to my entry if it does not win?

Your entry, winning or not, becomes our property. By participating in this contest, you give us perpetual rights over your entry. You relinquish all ownership rights to your entry.

When are winners selected?

Once we receive at least 5 entries per topic, we'll send out a group mail announcing the winners for each topic. Check your email for notifications.
